Diamond anvil cells preparation room

This room is dedicated to the preparation of diamond anvil cell experiments and handling of small samples. Typical diamond anvil cell samples are on the order of 20 microns in diameter. This room should hence remain clean, with a minimum amount of dust.

We have:

• a micro-welding machine,
• two high magnification binoculars, including one that is equipped with a micromanipulator,
• two micro-drilling machines, mechanical and using electric discharges,
• a laser machining tools, in the laser lab, to drill small holes and prepare small samples,
• several pneumatic pressure drives.
