Large volume preparation room

This room is equipped to prepare experiments in large volume presses, such as our piston-cylinder and multi-anvil press, as well as work on millimeter or centimeter size samples.

In particular, we have:

• a precision wire saw,
• a precision sectioning saw,
• a precision lathe,
• a computer numerical control (CNC) mill,
• a binocular,
• numerous oven and furnaces.

The room also has a moving crane that can handle weights up to 1 ton. We use it to move devices such as the multi-anvil press.
